Angus Antley was a professional musician in the United States, where he had his first Alexander Technique Lesson in 1997. In 2002, he came to London to begin teacher training at the Constructive Teaching Centre, which is the oldest and largest Alexander Technique training school in the world.   He completed the three year course in 2005.  He served as an Alexander Technique tutor at Mountview in 2006 before coming to teach at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in January 2007.
