Guy Slater began his career as an actor working in repertory, West End and Television, his last performance being in I Claudius. He has also written books and many scripts both for television and radio. As a free lance theatre director he has worked in theatres throughout the country as well as in London and California. He founded the Horseshoe Theatre Company in Basingstoke which he ran for seven years with seasons at the Haymarket Theatre and tours both local and national. On televison he has produced and directed many single plays / films and long running series such as MIss Marple (with Joan Hickson) and Love Hurts with Zoe Wanamaker and Adam Faith. He was Head of Drama for the SelecTV group.
