International Applicants
ALRA welcomes applications from international candidates whose written and spoken English is of a level appropriate to professional acting training. International applicants are advised to ensure that their visa adequately covers the duration of the course applied for.

Please note overseas candidates must audition in person as we do not accept video auditions.

Selection
Before we are able to offer candidates a place on the BA (Hons) Acting, the MA Professional Acting, Foundation Acting or the Acting for Deaf BSL Users  we will ask you to attend an audition in order to assess your potential to undertake professional training. Our courses are extremely demanding and call for substantial levels of talent and reserves of stamina. It is our responsibility to select students who we feel will be able to respond most effectively to these demands. ALRA aims to ensure that applicants enjoy all aspects of the audition process and feel stretched by it. Applicants will be auditioned in depth and given every opportunity to show their skills.

Auditions for the BA (Hons) Acting and the MA Professional Acting take place on weekdays throughout the academic year at our London base. In addition, ALRA audition once a year in Manchester and Edinburgh, normally in Jan/Feb. Please contact Admissions for exact dates and venues.
