Miniature Movie Masterclass
Plan and shoot a short film. A hands on tour of the filmmaking process from handling equipment to composition and framing. By working with scripted scenes, you'll develop your understanding of filmic storytelling and finally end up with a short film made by the group. Ideal for team building.

How People Act
A surgeon's hands, eyes and posture are different from an acrobat's. A 'lifer' in prison moves and breathes differently from a mountaineer. This day will use our knowledge of real people - behaviour, body language and voice - to create convincing stage characters. Each participant will choose a profession or life-situation, and explore and perform its 'typical actions' and behaviours. Then we'll build and bring to life individual characters who finally come together in short scenes of our own devising.
Directing Decisions
This course will explore some of the essential decisions a director has to make when working on a production. We'll look how to get the best from a script, the best from an actor and the best from a creative team. We will direct each other, explore new ideas and find interesting solutions. There will be a chance to exchange frustrations and to work together to find solutions!

An intensive crash course for new and budding presenters, complete with auto cue training and your own personalised show reel.

Discover and develop vocal skills and performing technique needed for singing. We'll explore pitch, phrasing, rhythm, use of words, expression, and look at holding a vocal line and harmony singing. Singing in a group, with the option of solo and duet singing, we'll find ways to conquer nerves and communicate a song with confidence. Suitable for all levels.
