John Wild Head of Voice at ALRA South
A five-day audition workshop aimed toward those want to apply to drama school to study acting or performing arts either at foundation, degree or postgraduate level lead by Aly Spiro, Head of acting at ALRA South and John Wild Head of Voice at ALRA South.
The students will learn and practice techniques and methods to enable them to communicate text successfully at auditions, improve their interview technique and discover exercises and activities to release tension from the body and voice in order to help performance. Tutors will also give advise and help in finding pieces suitable for auditions.

Aly Spiro - (Head of Acting)
Aly Spiro has been working as an actress for many years. She has worked extensively in Theatre, TV, Film and Radio and is probably best known for playing Sarah Sugden in Emmerdale. Aly has been working at drama schools for over ten years at ALRA, LAMDA, Central, Mountview and Urdang both directing and teaching. She is very happy to now be settled at ALRA as Head of Acting.

John Wild - (Head of Voice)
John has worked extensively as an actor, director and voice coach within theatre, TV, film and radio, both in the UK and abroad. John trained in voice at The Central School of Speech and Drama in 1994/5 and then became a Roy Hart voice teacher in 2007 and a designated Kristen Linklater teacher in 2011. John has had unique experience with the voice and continues to have a passion for awakening an individual's potential, by freeing their voice.

Approach
The course content wil include:
- Techniques and methods to communicate text successfully at auditions
- How to master interview technique
- Exercises and activities to release tension from the body and voice in order to improve performance
- Advise and help in finding pieces suitable for auditions
