ALRA grads Kelly Selvester (SMTT) and Dan Bottomley in Cinderella
ALRA graduate, Kelly Selvester recently wrote to letting us know she has just finished working as Stage Crew on the Cinderella rock and roll panto up at Theatr Clwyd alongside ALRA South Acting student Dan Bottomley (2012 graduate), who starred as one of the ugly sisters, Hernia.

What’s increasingly popular? Rock’n’roll pantos combined with seasonal fun with the jukebox musical. Clwyd Theatr Cymru has long embraced New Wolsey’s Ipswich (The Sword in the Stone in 2015) and Liverpool Everyman (Rapunzel) styles with considerable success. Last December’s panto story was the greatest of them all!
Amina Zia in Kali Theatre's She is Not Herself
We also heard from Amina Zia (2011 graduate) who is in Kali Theatre's She is Not Herself (written by Veronica Dewan and directed by Helena Bell) which will be on at the Tristan Bates Theatre from Tues 19th Jan 2016 – Sat 23rd Jan 2016.
So there’s still time to catch it if you can!
It's a beautifully written two hander and the play explores the real life story of a daughter who meets her birth mother for the first time in 28 years after she was given away for adoption. Amina plays the daughter who is called Anoukh and Maggie O'Brien plays her mother Jules.
