Join our team! ALRA is staffed by a small team of brilliant people in our two campuses at Wandsworth, London and Wigan, Greater Manchester. ALRA graduates can be found in all aspects of the performing and creative industries in the UK and internationally, and our resident and freelance staff are immensely proud of their achievements.

Our dedicated, creative, passionate and highly skilled staff are a tight-knit group who care deeply about providing the very best possible experience for the students.We always welcome submissions from teachers, practitioners and specialists who can enrich the students’ experience. We also have an excellent behind-the-scenes team who keep all of the various production, admissions, administration, estates, compliance and resources functions working every day.

Head of Live and Recorded Performance

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000.00 pa
Hours: 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Campus: ALRA North

Our Head of Live and Recorded has responsibilities spanning curriculum, quality, development and outreach. You will work alongside the Head of Embodiment to recruit and manage Industry Professionals and with the Associate Dean and Head of Embodiment in coordinating the BA Acting programme including the development of opportunities for commissioning and co-commissioning a broad range of artists to create innovative performance projects matching ALRA's evolving ideological approach.

Head of Embodiment

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000.00 pa

Campus: ALRA South

Working with the Dean and Members of the Academic Board the Head of Embodiment will establish a coherent and visionary approach to actor training, developing bespoke curricula for learners of diverse backgrounds that offers an equitable approach to the body and voice, re-considering the notion of ‘training’ in the 21st Century. The role includes the recruitment and management of Industry Professionals, considering the use of imagination, body, voice and play in relation to the preparation of our students for performance focused work.

Foundation Acting Course Leader

Salary: £24,000.00 to £28,000.00
Hours: 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Campus: ALRA South

Foundation Acting Course Leader at ALRA South is tasked with maintaining and developing the Foundation programme, teaching/facilitating the course, offering individual tutorials and pastoral care to students, recruiting and managing freelance tutors as needed and liaising with the Head of Foundation at ALRA North to ensure parity across the organisation.

Director of Culture and Creativity

Salary: £50,000.00
Hours: 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE). Some evening and weekend working as required with time off in lieu as accrued
Campus: ALRA South

This new senior role will oversee equality, diversity and cohesion at ALRA with special interest in ensuring policy is enforced and training provided to staff and students as necessary. Working across all stakeholder groups at both campuses including the surrounding communities, Students, Working Groups, Faculty, Professional Services, Senior Leadership and the ALRA Board.
