Now in its seventh year, VAULT Festival is a well-loved arts and entertainment festival at The Vaults in Waterloo, presenting over 400 shows from more than 2,000 artists over 8 weeks. Live performances of theatre, comedy, cabaret and immersive experiences will grace the underground venue, and we’re excited to see some of our ALRA alumni showcasing work there.
Here’s what’s coming up…
‘Inside Voices’ by Nabilah Said, directed by Zhui Ning Chang
Zhui Ning, an alumna from the Yellow Earth Academy 2018 held at ALRA, is directing ‘Inside Voices’ with an all-female, all-Asian team at VAULT Festival from 23rd-27th January.
The play is a dark comedy about Southeast Asian women, monstrosity, and how to navigate feminist experiences alongside Islamic faith. It is beautifully written with wit, warmth and humour, with a spooky, supernatural vibe.
