ALRA Endorsed 2 Year Degree Auditions

ALRA has collaborated with Leicester College and York College to develop BA Hons degree courses that can be completed in just 2 years. ALRA tutors regularly visit the students on these courses and often take graduates onto their MA courses allowing students to gain a Masters qualification in three years - saving a year of study and considerable expense.

For your FINAL chance to apply for a place to start this September, sign up for a masterclass workshop at each venue. This 1 hour masterclass with a senior ALRA tutor is followed by a Q&A with the course leader from both York and Leicester and finally a one to one audition for those who want to join the September 2021 cohort.

BA Acting – Leicester College
This course spans across aspects of dance, creative performance practice, acting (live and recorded) and performance studies and is based in the wonderful Sue Townsend Theatre and Studios in the vibrant cultural city of Leicester.
Staffed by highly experienced theatre, film and acting practitioners the course is now in its third year with a good proportion of graduates progressing into the ALRA MA Professional Acting Programme. This course comes with accommodation if needed and access to regular masterclasses with ALRA faculty as well as other local partners.

BA Acting Stage and Screen – York College
This course focuses on acting for screen and includes partnerships with York Theatre Royal, Screen Yorkshire and other local practitioners.
This is the first year of this exciting course that will focus on training actors for the profession with equal weighting on live and recorded training.
With a strong industry focus, this BA will equip learners with work experience in the industry as well as the opportunity to perform at one of the most regarded venues in the nation: York Theatre Royal.
