Oliver Towner and Sam Kacher to feature in Accountable at Fright Fest 2017

FrightFest, a major horror fantasy festival, is coming back to the Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Square, London this August. It has premiered other films such as Black Death starring Eddie Redmayne and The Descent, directed by Neil Marshall.

oliver townerOliver Towner and Sam Kacher, 2015 graduates of ALRA's Three Year Acting course, will be starring in Accountable, a new feature film premiering at FrightFest this year.sam kacher

Directed by Matthew Heaven, Accountable depicts the story of a volatile and directionless young man, Warren Matthews (played by Oliver), whose circumstances cause him to enlist the services of a local psychiatrist to help him confront damaging past events fuelling his future angst. His fractured psyche tells him that a score must be settled, and someone must be held accountable.

Accountable was shot in only 12 days and is a testament of what can be achieved on a micro-budget of £10,000, with the help of imagination, a twisty script and commitment to quality production values. Some of the locations include London, Wales and Gloucester.

Matthew Heaven, who has completed two other short films, Professional Paranoia, also starring Oliver, and Late Mourning, is a director to watch. He has a particular focus on drama and thrillers and is currently in the pre-production phase of his newest film Sunset Hill.

ALRA is delighted to see Oliver and Sam making their mark in the film industry and wish them all the best for the production. You can catch the world premiere of Accountable at the festival on Saturday, 26th August. To see the full FrightFest film schedule visit their website.
