Brianna Douglas to feature in Transit at Reveal Festival
- Details
Recent ALRA graduate Brianna Douglas has been cast as the lead in a new show by Zendeh Productions, Transit. She graduated from ALRA North last summer upon completing our three year BA Hons in Acting programme.
Zendeh Productions will be presenting Transit, written by Steven Gaythorpe and directed by Nazli Tabatabai-Khatambakhsh, as part of this year's Reveal Festival, organised by Bolton Octagon.
The plot follows Darya, played by Douglas, and her father who meet in the transit lounge of Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. The production company describes the story as follows:
"For the first time in ten years, Darya and her father, Roger, meet in the transit lounge of Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. She is a dual-national, trapped between two cultures, living through trauma; with a singing voice that lights the darkness. He is a professor of music, blinded by privilege, with a narrow view of the political landscape. As they reach out to one another, an event a world away impacts their reconciliation."
