About the play
This dark satire, set in post revolutionary Russia, is a retelling by Moira Buffini of Nikolai Erdman's The Suicide which was banned by Stalin. When one man shares his plan to shoot himself, his community line up to claim his death for their own cause. As the pressure to pull the trigger increases, and a party is organised around the event, he becomes more and more reluctant to go through with it.
