Mysterious Skin at London's King's Head Theatre

Break a leg to all those performing in Mysterious Skin, a gripping drama by Prince Gomolvilas based on the novel by Scott Heim. The play will be held at King's Head Theatre, London between 10th and 15th August 2015 and features many of our past and present ALRA students including:

Director: Peter Darney (ALRA tutor for six years)

Actor: Ben Scarles (ALRA Acting graduate)

Stage Managers: Emaleigh Pightling and Ricky McFadden (current students of our Stage Management and Technical Course)

About the play

Eighteen-year-old Brian gets nosebleeds—and blackouts. New York hustler Neil gets paid for sex—with older men. Alien abductee Avalyn gets lonely—and wants her next close encounter. As the story unfolds, the characters' parallel lives come crashing together to unlock the past and to uncover the terrifying and heartbreaking truth. Featuring Nicole Faraday (Badgirls, Emmerdale) Nick Hayes (Hollyoaks: In the City) and Julie Addy (The Fall and Winner of Best actress at the DIGTF in Mysterious Skin).

The hit show has received 5-star raving reviews from the likes of Fringe Review, The New Current, Broadway Baby, Fringe Guru and Gay Times.

  • Devastatingly simple..played perfectly under Peter Darney's nuanced direction. One of the best Pieces of writing on the fringe. This is theatre for grown-ups. Stunning
