Emmanuel Imani ALRA

ALRA 2012 graduate Emmanuel Imani has featured in a film alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest actors, including Kevin CostnerTommy Lee Jones and the British Keira Knightley.

In 2013, he made his stage debut as part of the play A Thousand Miles of History, directed by Harold Finley. The year after, in 2014, he starred in his first feature film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit alongside Chris Pine and Keira Knightley.

Imani also starred in the British independent feature film Invisible Men supported by Channel 4. The film which premiered at the 2015 British Urban Film Festival tells a story about illegal immigrants trying their best to survive in modern day London. For his role as Abbey, Emmanuel won in the Best Actor category against Mohammed GeorgeShone Romulus and Idris Elba.

He has also been in BBC’s Doctors and Black Earth Rising.
