Acting Schools in London & Greater Manchester

ALRA is a drama school with a proven commitment to providing the highest quality acting and Stage Management training. Based in both London and Wigan, Lancashire, with provisional status in the new Teaching Excellent Framework and an international reputation for providing comprehensive, rigorous training, ALRA is one of the top Higher Education destinations for students wishing to follow a career as an actor, actress, stage manager or technician.

Our drama training covers TV & film acting for camera from the very first week. Students also study movement, voice, a wide range of acting techniques, text, stage combat, TV presenting, radio, dance, singing - in short, all of the elements required to work as a professional actor.

Many ALRA graduates have achieved successful careers as performers in stand-up, TV, film and stage and our technicians and stage managers can be found behind the scenes at world class venues. 

Our drama training includes BA (Hons) courses in ActingFoundation courses in ActingPostgraduate Acting and MA Acting courses.

ALRA is proud to work at the highest possible standards expected of the industry as a member of CDET, the FDS, Guild HE as well as being QAA reviewed. Funding is available to some applicants through the Dance and Drama Award scheme.

These are the 1st year Three Year Acting Course dates. Other course dates may slightly vary so please check the course pages.

London & Greater Manchester Acting Schools

ALRA is a drama school, a member of CDET and one which provides the highest quality training for students following a career as an actor, actress, stage manager or technician.

Based in both London and Wigan, Lancashire, our drama training covers TV & film acting for camera from week 1 to the end of your training.

You will also study movement, voice, acting technique, text, stage combat, TV presenting, radio and other drama elements required to work as a professional actor.

ALRA's drama training includes a wide range of courses, such as our Foundation acting courses, BA Hons in acting degree, our MA acting course and some funded places which are available to applicants through the Dance and Drama Award (DaDa) scheme.
