Lucia began training in Chinese dance and as a member of the Hong Kong National Rhythmic Gymnastics team. She studied at the University of California-Berkeley, and has worked with dance and theatre companies across the globe including Handspring Puppet Company, Troika Ranch, Upswing Aerial, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Joe Goode Performance Group amongst others. Lucia directs her own company, Pangea Art, creating multimedia work in collaboration with diverse artists and is co-director of Arts 4 Human Rights.
Kate has been working at ALRA North since 2012. She also works across the north of England as a freelance Movement Director, Choreographer and teacher and runs a bodywork practice using Pilates and release-based techniques with physical performers. Originally trained in contemporary dance at the Laban Centre of Movement and Dance, Kate has worked at many organisations including Dundee Repertory Theatre, Opera North, Manchester Youth Theatre, Edge Hill University.
Ruth is the Co-Founder of Rc-Annie limited (the UK’s leading dramatic violence company, est 2005). She has been on the British Academy of Dramatic Combats (BADC) committee for 10 years, 6 as the Chair. She is A BADC certified Teacher, Examiner and a Fight Director. Recent Fight Direction work includes productions at Shakespeare’s Globe, The National Theatre, The RSC and The Tricycle Theatre. Other theatre includes work at The Bush Theatre, The Old Vic, Northern Stage, The Rose Theatre Kingston, Theatre Royal Bath, The Park Theatre, The Southwark Playhouse, The West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Sheffield Crucible and The Salisbury Playhouse.
Michael trained at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris after completing a BA in Performance Theatre at York University. He is Artistic Director of Square Peg Theatre who focus on combining new writing with physical theatre to create bold, cinematic and highly choreographed stories for the stage.
