Mary Irwin is Professor Emerita in the UNSCA School of Drama, where she taught voice, speech and Shakespeare from 1995-2018. She was Head of Voice & Speech from 2001-2016, and twice received Teaching Excellence Awards. A Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, Mary also holds an MA in Voice Studies (CSSD). She has assisted Kristin Linklater at the Kristin Linklater Voice Centre in Orkney. Other teaching: RCSSD; The Linklater Center (NYC); Laura Henry Studio (LA); Red Bull Theater’s Shakespeare & Jacobean Workshops; Cherokee Storytelling Workshop (Museum of the Cherokee Indian); Sarah Lawrence College.
